INDUSTRIOUS 15 MINUTES OF FAME: MEET RICHARD!

1) What (who) brought you to Industrious?

I had been doing CrossFit for quite some time before joining Industrious and had grown a little stagnant in my last box.  I knew that if I didn’t make a change I would end up quitting or joining a globo gym, both of which were not very appealing.  I had heard about Industrious and what a cool vibe it had so I was a little curious and wanted to check it out but couldn’t bring myself to do so because I didn’t want to leave my current box.  It wasn’t until I watched Tia at regionals that I thought, wow she is super upbeat and happy, if she were a reflection of Industrious I really needed to go check it out.  A couple of months later I finally attended the 3:30 class with Jeremy and have been going to the 3:30 class 4-5 times a week ever since.

2) What is the most significant change you have experienced since you have been here?  How long have you been a member?

The biggest change for me is probably strength and mobility.  I had plateaued for awhile at my last box and wasn’t moving very well since I was doing open gym for my last year there.  When I got to Industrious, the coaching and programming got me back on track and has kept me coming back for more.  The coaching ques from Jeremy\Anthony\Tia are always on point and their extra push always seems to do the trick.  Thanks to all the amazing coaches!

3)  What is your favorite thing about Industrious?

Is saying everything is my favorite the same as saying the community?  Because I really do love Industrious, the people, atmosphere, equipment, and even the programming, except for when there are thrusters because thrusters suck.

4) What are your goals or aspirations for this year?

Once I get my janky hips, shoulders, and bicep fixed, I am going to try and stay injury free.  Oh and of course to not whine about thrusters as much, which probably won’t happen.

5) Share one thing we do NOT  know about you!

This is a tough one since I’m an open book, but it would probably be that I worked and lived on a missile range for 5 years.  I saw far more of the desert then I ever wanted but I also got to see some amazing things and meeting some incredible people.
