Industrious 15 Minutes of Fame: Meet Corrine!!
1) What (who) brought you to Industrious?
Jenifer Lambert and I were at the same CrossFit gym in Mukilteo before it closed and that is how we ended up in our new CrossfFit home. She is one of my favorite people so glad we made the right choice.
2) What is the most significant change-whether social, physical, mental…you have experienced since you have been here?
When you fail at something pick yourself up and try again… I was pretty broken when I came to Industrious, I have been in several mentally abusive relationships in the last 7 years, so this gym has helped me gain my self confidence back and my can-do attitude.
3) What is your favorite thing about Industrious?
One of my favorite things about this gym is when I walk through the doors and I hear ” Hey Corrine!” It might be tiny but it means the world to me every time. Also that we are one big family we all cheer for one another. It’s truly a beautiful thing to experience. During the Open this year, I had some health issues and my body was basically giving out on me. This gym and the people, the coaches and my judges, powered me through them when I wanted to give up. Celebrating goals attained and getting thought the tough times is what makes this place so great. No other gym I had found compares!
4) What are your goals or aspirations for this year?
To be able to get a Bar MU and be able to do a handstand without being afraid of being upside down!
5) Share one thing we do NOT know about you!
I am trying to get a job in law enforcement/corrections something I have been after for a bit now.
