Industrious 15 Minutes of Fame: Meet Hazzauna!!
1) What (who) brought you to Industrious?
I relocated to Mukilteo the end of 2015, pregnant with my 4th child, and was crossfitting prior. Four months after having my daughter I was anxious to get back in the gym, researched a couple of gyms in the area and ended up at Industrious. I arrived only with the intention to compare and contrast with other gyms prior to committing. When I walked into Industrious the ambiance just felt right; the owner, the coaches, the members were so personable. The coaches were all welcoming, proficient at teaching skills/techniques, pointers and corrections where given constructively; everyone was motivating; the gym was clean and well organized. Most importantly for me, I could see that the owners and coaches took pride and loved what they did. I knew this was where I wanted and needed to be!
2) What is the most significant change-whether social, physical, mental…you have experienced since you have here?
Physically I have lost 20+ pounds, toned tremendously and gotten a significant amount of my strength back. Being apart of Industrious keeps me sane! To be amongst such a positive group of motivated people makes all the world of difference when you’re dealing with the daily struggles of life.
3) What is your favorite thing about Industrious?
Where do I start. . . The owners, Stephen and Molly Hitt lead by example and that leadership is conveyed through the coaches. The team is genuinely invested and work just as hard and often harder along side us. They don’t just talk about crossfit, they are the epitome of what crossfit is, what it stands for and how to excel at the highest potential. The owners and coaches of Industrious are empowering. The mere figments of our imagination are made a reality through their programming, techniques, structure, organization and collaboration. They all believe in US and it shows through the impeccable leadership, guidance and confidence exuded in each and every work out/weight lift session/conditioning session; from prior to sun up to sun down. Crossfit Industrious is a name brand, a household name. Additionally, the gym is not just family oriented, but also community oriented, committed to giving back and making a difference. There is inevitably nowhere to go but up here at Industrious and I am honored to be along for the ride.
4) What are your goals or aspirations for this year?
Ideally by the end of the year I would like to get a couple of things checked off my list, handstand hold/handstand walk and figure out where my ring muscle up walked off to. I believe that with consistency and the phenomenal programming these all will come to fruition.
5) Share one thing we do not know about you!
I am the second oldest of 11 siblings. My sister is an Olympian, one of three of the first women to box in 2012.
